Shari has been working with CASE since 2012, when she became a Lead Teacher. She is certified to teach Introduction to Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources. In 2013, Shari became the Professional Development Director for CASE, and is focused on continuing to improve the many professional development opportunities CASE offers for teachers, whether as Lead and Master Teachers or curriculum institute participants.
Before becoming part of the CASE staff, Shari was a high school agriculture and life sciences teacher and FFA advisor in Iowa for seven years. During her career in education, she earned a Masters of Education and is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Instructional Design with a focus on online Learning. Shari is passionate about quality teacher professional development and works to keep up to date on research in the field as well as staying in contact with practicing teachers in order to remain grounded in what teachers need and want in their professional development experiences. In the summer of 2012, Shari and her family moved back to her home state of Kansas, where they now work with her family feedlot and commercial cow/calf operation.
