Carl has been working with CASE since 2009, when he became a Lead Teacher. He has been a Master Teacher since 2011 and is certified to teach Principles of Agriculture - Plant and Animal and Plant Biotechnology. In 2014 Carl became a Curriculum Coordinator and is currently writing the MSA course to be piloted in during the 2018 school year.
Before joining the CASE team, Carl was an agricultural science teacher and FFA advisor for sixteen years in Minnesota. Carl has been actively involved in the development of agricultural education in Minnesota. He assisted in starting the Academy for Science and Agriculture, an agri-science based Charter school and has done numerous teacher education workshops on how to implement science successfully into the agricultural classroom. Carl lives with his family in northwestern Minnesota near his parents’ farm where he was raised.
