CASE offers a logical sequence of courses to promote a core set of concepts that every AFNR student should know and understand regarding four pathways of AFNR.

CASE provides professional development to teachers for each specific course to ensure they have the background and expertise to utilize CASE curriculum resources.

CASE provides AFNR National Assessment Exams to allow programs to compare student performance within their state and across the country.

CASE, unlike other curriculum resources, provides detailed resources for teaching hands-on laboratory exercises rather than leaving it to the teacher to create instructional aides.

CASE is NOT a collective set of random laboratory exercises. Rather CASE is purposely designed to spiral student-learning experiences throughout the entire course.

CASE is a comprehensive set of all instructional materials required to teach a full year of courses.

CASE is student-directed and inquiry-based.

CASE is a carefully designed curriculum that is built starting with the assessment elements and then crafting the learning experiences around the desired outcomes.

CASE is aligned with national AFNR, science, mathematics, and English language arts standards for every lesson.

Science and mathematics are not “included” in CASE curriculum, rather science and mathematics are purposely and properly taught to provide true integration of core-academics. CASE does NOT assume students should know how to perform a science skill or mathematical operation – these are purposely taught within the context of AFNR.

CASE will certify a student who completes CASE courses to ensure articulation with post-secondary education institutions.

Because of the careful design of CASE, the benefits to the STUDENT include the following:

  • - Clear and concise learning objectives and expectations
  • - Hands-on activities, projects, and problems providing engagement and motivation for learning
  • - Learning real-life problem solving to gain experience for post-secondary education and a future career
  • - Articulation credits from local post-secondary institutions
  • - Becoming a well-educated and highly skilled graduate

Because of the careful design of CASE, the benefits to the TEACHER include the following:

  • - Well designed and planned learning experiences
  • - Less preparation time – more time focusing on student engagement and facilities management
  • - Enhancement of character education and leadership throughout as it fits naturally within the curriculum
  • - Student-directed providing the teacher more time to facilitate learning rather than present information
  • - Validated assessments aligned to national standards
